Caves have first been built in the soft volcanic rock by the Phrygians,an Indo-European people.The city was greatly expanded and deepened in the Eastern Roman,when it was used for protection from Muslim Arab raids during the four centuries of Arab–Byzantine wars.Selime Cathedral is the biggest rock-carved monastery in the region and was once home to Hittite, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman civilizations. Enjoy a Turkish kebab-style lunch at a riverside restaurant in Belisırma. After lunch, take an easy 4km walk (approx. 1 hour) along the river through the deep Ihlara Valley canyon, scattered with cave churches carved by early Christian monks. A final stop at a stunning viewpoint in Uçhisar overlooking the infamous Pigeon Valley and see the pigeon houses carved from the stone by ancient inhabitants.

Start your day with a visit to Kaymaklı Underground City. Next we will take you to Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy chimneys before we drive to Paşabağı (Monks Valley) to see the captivating mushroom-shaped pinnacles. In the afternoon visit the Göreme Open Air Museum (Dark Church is excluded; entrance requires additional admission fee), where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years.

The 3 Day Cappadocia Tour starts when you are picked up from your hotel in Cappadocia and then travel to the first stop, Goreme to see the fairy chimneys. The next destination is Derinkuyu underground city which is 3500 years old, you will go eight floors down. Then Ihlara Valley with a hike and at the end of the valley, lunch in the village. You will then visit Yaprakhisar Panorama, before going to Selime Monastery. The next day your guide will pick you up for your second day. First, stop at Uçhisar Castle. Next, it is onto the Göreme Open Air Museum. After Lunch, you will see a demonstration of pottery making. Next, it will be a stop to Devrent Valley also known as (Imagination Valley) Later you will get to see the Three Beauties of Ürgüp and visit a Carpet Factory where you will find hand-made Anatolian Carpets. On your last day, you will visit some old Greek Villages such as Mustafapaşa and Keşlik. You will then hike in Soğanlı Valley.
