Kandy is a large city in central Sri Lanka. It's set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city's heart is scenic Kandy Lake (Bogambara Lake), which is popular for strolling. Kandy is famed for sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine, celebrated with the grand Esala Perahera annual procession. During the Kandy City Tour, first stop will be at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Also known as the Sri Dalada Maligawa, this golden roofed Temple, houses the relic of Lord Buddha's tooth. The guests can walk around the Kandy Lake once visiting the Temple of Sacred Tooth Relic. Next we visit the Bahirawakanda Temple and then we visit the Kandy View Point. Kandy to Badulla train ride is known as one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. We facilitate our clients to book 1st class AC compartment or 2nd class non-AC reserved seats. The train starts its journey from Colombo Fort Railway station and Reaches Kandy by 0905 hrs. Usually it takes about 3 hours approximately to reach Kandy Railway station where the scenic trip begins. The train would reach Badulla by 1610 hrs. and the most scenic part of the train journey is from Hatton to Haputale. During the journey the train goes passing lush greenish tea estates, many tunnels, farming fields, villages, various types of forests etc
