We do the tour of the Voortrekker monument to learn about the journey the Dutch people took from the Cape Province inland including the Battle of the Blood river where the Dutch faught with the Zulus under Dingaan. The impressive building is surrounded by pretty terraced garden that offer Panoramic views over the city. It is nicknamed Jacaranda city due to Jacaranda trees lining the streets.
