Hiking Mountain Bisoke can be an experience of a lifetime but it can also be one of the most challenging things a person can undertake, especially if physically unfit. The hiking is 6 to 7 hours, including 2 hours of descent, but that is for inexperienced hikers. Experienced hikers can take less than 4 hours to hike and come back down to the base. Apart from the experience of hiking on the extinct volcano which is part of the Virunga Mountain range, at the peak, there’s a crater lake known as Lake Ngezi. The trekking starts with an assembly at the park headquarters in Kinigi at 7a.m. Here, each group is assigned a guide who briefs them about the activity they are about to embark on.

The drive from Kigali to Nyungwe National Park takes around 6 - 7 hours. Accommodation options; *Nyungwe top view hotel or Mantis Kivu Marina Bay Hotel Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking & return to Kigali After early breakfast, transfer to the reception center by 5:00 Am where we meet the ranger guides and from there drive to the point where you start the hike into Nyungwe/ Cyamudongo forest. It may take between 30 minutes and 2 hours to locate the chimps, after back to kgli.

One of the major tourist locations in Rwanda is Akagera National Park, which is well-known for its variety of primates in the wild. It spans 1,200 km2 in northeastern Rwanda and borders Tanzania. It was established in 1934 to stop poaching and hunting in three ecoregions: the swamp, the mountain, and the savannah. The park is home to the big five safari animals, which are the lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes. But the park is also home to other species of animals like the giraffe, 11 species of antelopes, hippos, and crocodiles.
