The Jasna Gora hill is located in Czestochowa, a small town 130 km north-west from Krakow. It is where  a famous sanctuary and cloister are located. The sight is considered one of the most important when it comes to the worship of St. Mary, it is also  the most popular pilgrimage destination in Poland. This is mostly thanks to the sacred painting of St. Mary of Częstochowa the Mother of Jesus and other sacred art. Since 1994 the place has enjoyed the status of a  monument to history.

During the trip, you will visit one of the oldest working Salt Mines in the World – the Wieliczka’s Salt Mine, which has been producing table salt for over 700 years! Your English speaking guide will take you up to 140 meters underground for a 2,5-hours journey through over 2,5-kilometres long tourist route full of chambers with amazing carvings and statues and large collection of mining machines and equipment, where everything is made of salt. Please note that to reach the first level of the mine (64 metres underground), you have to descent a wooden stairway which has 378 steps. After the tour, you will be taken up to the surface with a lift.

Visit the most famous mound in Krakow – the Kosciuszko Mound with a marvellous view of the whole city of Krakow and the remains of old fortress from the 19th century. The historic Salt Mine is located about 10 km from Krakow and is on the first UNESCO World Heritage List (1978). The current mine was established ad the turn off 18 and 19 century (though mining history reaches antiquity here). The tourist route goes through the most interesting places in the mine that consists of 22 chambers which are connected by salt pathways of lenght about 3 km. Chambers are located at depth 64 to 135 meters underground.

Zakopane is Poland's most popular holiday resort. Having you specified your size via email we will pre-arrange renting out all equipment you need for your skiing day out. We will also pre-book your individual ski/snowboard instructor for two hours. We do not provide ski clothing apart from gloves, so you should take care of this yourself. As this is occasional skiing our clients usually wear alternative sports trousers and jackets, not necessarily ski wear. Wieliczka Salt Mine is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It illustrates the historic stages of the development of mining techniques in Europe from the 13th to the 20th centuries. It has hundreds of kilometers of galleries with works of art, underground chapels and statues sculpted in the salt, making a fascinating pilgrimage into the past. It is a depth of 135 metres underground. The temperature in the mine is 17-18ºC, making it a good place to escape the summer heat. If you visit Krakow the Wieliczka Salt Mine it is must to see!:)
