From there we drive up to Jebel Akhdar which literally means "Green Mountain" because of its many fruit plantations and the rose gardens (rose blooming season is May-Sep).

Wadi Shab is a stunning natural gorge in Oman, about 1.5–2 hours from Muscat, known for its turquoise pools, waterfalls, and hidden cave. Visitors hike around 45 minutes through rocky terrain, then swim through clear water to reach a secret cave with a waterfall. A short boat ride is needed to start the hike. It’s best visited in cooler months, and good footwear and waterproof bags are recommended.
