National Kandawgyi Garden: founded in 1915 and carved out by Turkish prisoners captured by the British during WWI, this lovingly maintained 435-acre botanical garden features more than 480 species of flower, shrub and tree. The most appealing aspect is the way flowers and overhanging branches frame views of Kandawgyi Lake’s wooden bridges and small gilded pagoda. and then continue to Pwe Kauk Waterfalls and  Maymyo Market . The homecooking of Myanmar is influenced by its geography and the food is a mix of southeast Asian, Indian, and Chinese flavors and cooking techniques. Moe’s family prepares traditional Myanmar cuisine as well as Chinese dishes, reflecting their heritage.  You might try dishes such as their tender Burmese pork curry cooked with onions and tomato paste, nga phe thoq (a fish cake salad, of fried fish cake served on top of a fresh greens with onion, fried garlic and tomato), bean soup with vermicelli and dried shrimp, or shui jiao (Chinese dumplings stuffed with minced pork, ginger, and spring onions).

In this tour we will head to Monywa by private coach. Monywa lies 136 km north-west of Mandalay. It is famous for the Standing Buddha Statue which is the second tallest in the world.  We will visit Thanboddhay pagoda, one of the most intricately decorated temples housing over 500,000 Buddha images. Then we go to Bodhi Thataung Standing Buddha Statue, which is the second tallest Buddha image in the world. Inside, Proceed to Po Khaung Taung, a small range of hills in the Monywa area. After that we will visit Aung Sakkya pagoda which is located on Po Khaung Taung. proceed to Shwe Ba Hill and Shwe Gu Ni Pagoda. Shwe Ba Hill is located on the west bank of Chindwin river .  Many caves and temples are carved o ut from the surrounding volcanic rocks and filled with ancient Buddha Images. Shwe Gu Ni pagoda is about 20 miles east of Monywa, there is a famous Shwe Gu Ni Pagoda dating from the 14th century.
