We will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech to start our day trip to explore the high Atlas Mountains; we will stop at Lake Lalla Takerkoust, the one that supplies this arid region of Morocco with water. Then, we will continue the visit in the village of Aguergour, where you will take Berber tea with an indigenous family who will make you discover its traditions. You will learn more about the customs of this nomadic people while visiting the beautiful valley of the Kik Plateau. We will reach the village of Asni where a weekly berber market takes place every Tuesday, then continue through the valley of Sidi fares and pass by the ski station of Oukaimden to reach the ourika valley in the Atlas Mountains with breathtaking views and take the opportunity to take a camel ride, (optional). for a mountain biking day trip from Marrakech, we will be picked you from your hotel in Marrakech at 8:30 am a short transfer takes us to Toubkal National Park. We will go to the village of Imlil. The ascent of the Tamatert is on a support vehicle. We ride our bikes before the pass which is situated at an altitude of 2280m. The first warm-up is on a good rolling road overlooking the deep valley of Imnane against the bottom with contrasting cultural terraces with an arid flank. We reach the track on the right side and we will find a succession of superb Berber villages beehives clinging to the sides of the mountains in the background with majestic summits of the High Atlas mountains frequently snowy. After a superb descent, our mountain biking ends at Asni at the beginning of the afternoon. drop off at your hotel will be after 5 pm. Merzouga is only 20 km away from Algeria border where the paved road ends and the real Sahara Desert sand dunes... Merzouga desert is the most common destination in Morocco for Camel treks and Bivouacs. To experience the Sahara desert dunes it is a must to take a camel trip and stay overnight in a Berber tent or in a luxury camp. The camel trip takes approximately 1 hours 30 minutes through amazing red-orange sand dunes at sunset to reach the sahara desert camp where you will be served local nomad dinner in the desert tent. But note it is at least a ten hours drive from the erg chebbi dunes to Marrakech. The trip is possible in 3 days however we recommend a slow pace over 4 or 5 days.
