The couple started by moving 2 giraffes, Daisy and Marlon, to their home in Karen, breeding them and taking care of them leading to the establishment. With time, the number of giraffes at the center has grown. The Bomas of Kenya is a cultural site set up by the government for the sole purpose of cultural preservation of the Kenyan community’s culture and heritage .It hosts traditional dancers from various communities who entertain visitors every day at the site.
