While the focus is of course the Anime and Mangas and the 2.5 dimensional world that this consists, we will be looking deeper and explore the backstreets of Akihabara and check out some of the food culture, game consoles, pop culture snacks, cosplay, purikura, arcade games and more. Should time allow, we may visit other otaku spots to help you get a bigger picture of the otaku world. We may visit one of the top three shrines of EDO Tokyo to give you a glimpse of the historical and traditional culture aspect aside of the pop culture available here in Akihabara should you be willing to tip the guide for additional services. You can experience repairing broken objects using the traditional lacquering technique KINTSUGI. You will approach the WABI-SABI, which is viewed as a variety of beauty woven by changes without negatively accepting dirty or chipped vessels as deterioration. Please bring your ceramics or porcelain that you would like to repair. If you don’t, please let us know. (Only two items per person due to storage space limitations.) We will glue the broken pieces with lacquer. It takes about a week for it to harden as we use natural lacquer. If you would like to continue the process, please make a reservation after one week.
