The highlight of this tour is that you can enjoy both sightseeing and cultural experiences in Osaka all in one day. In the morning, we visit Osaka Castle, a historic site with over 400 years of history. Feel its powerful presence as I share stories of its past and cultural importance. For lunch, we head to Shinsekai, a retro area full of local charm. We enjoy kushikatsu hopping—visiting multiple shops like the locals do. Don’t forget the “no double-dipping” rule! In the afternoon, we walk through the Tennoji area to Shitennoji Temple, one of the oldest temples in Japan, founded in 593. Before entering, we take a break at a nearby teahouse and enjoy traditional tea and sweets. (Included in the tour price.) Then we explore the peaceful temple grounds, where you’ll feel the deep spiritual atmosphere. A typical cooking class is where you learn recipes and eat together, but our class also focuses on the "fun" aspect. We place emphasis on cooking while having fun with an experienced instructor. As the name of the class suggests, it is Cook, Taste and Enjoy Osaka. We use seasonal ingredients from each season of Japan. We directly purchase carefully selected Koshihikari rice from a contracted farmer in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, known as one of the leading rice-producing areas in Japan, to provide the highest quality rice. Please choose from Course A or Course B. Both courses involve making two dishes together. Course A features sukiyaki, tempura, and rolled omelet. Course B features wagyu roast beef bowl, chicken nanban, and sashimi. Please choose Course A or Course B when making a reservation. The course lasts about two hours.

First of all, we visit Harukas Garden of Abeno Harukas. It's located on the 16th floor of Abeno Harukas without entrance fee. Please check the pictures of Harukas Garden. Next, we visit Horikoshi Shrine and Shitennoji Temple which were established by Prince Shotoku in 593. At Shitennoji you can walk up to the top of 5-story pagoda. We also visit the temples and shrines below around Tennoji Park. You will be able to get 4-7 goshuins at the following places: 1. Horikoshi Shrine - stamp goshuin 2. Shitennoji Temple - handwriting goshuin 3. Oe Shrine - handwriting goshuin 4. Kiyomizu Temple (Osaka) - 2 handwriting goshuins 5. Yasui Shrine - stamp goshuin 6. Isshinji Temple - handwriting goshuin Please note that if the staff is not in the office at shrines or temples, you cannot take a goshuin. But you will be able to get at least 4 goshuins.
