What makes this program unique is that it includes access to the full cone of the Vesuvius with a specialized volcanic guide. The day begins with the climb of the volcano at 9 am. The trekking route of light-medium difficulty involves a difference in altitude of approximately 800 meters for a total of roughly 5 km. During this journey, topics of volcanology and history will be explained and addressed, it will be explained from the point of view of a volcanologist, how Vesuvius was formed, how it covered Pompeii and Herculaneum, but above all the minerals and soils of past eruptions will be touched.
