We will taste local salumi, local cheese and home-made pasta, and local wine of course! We will go also to a special ancient indoor market, where you can buy specialities of the town to bring home! I will suggest you what to but and how to cook it. We Will also have amazing gelato! You will start your day by visiting a dairy farm to learn something new about the production processes of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, from cows to wheels. The visit will be held directly by the producer's staff, so none of your questions will remain unanswered. The tour is followed by a guided tasting. Our second stop is a small farm where the family produces Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena for generations. They will show the production process and explain all the peculiarities of the Balsamic Vinegar, and why it is so highly appreciated even in haute cuisine. Taste different ages of locally produced balsamic vinegar at the end. Being in the area, your experience wouldn't be complete without visiting Ferrari Museum in Maranello, so to see the most famous supercar brand of all time, Ferrari, and to learn something new about its history during your free visit to the museum. Return to Giovanna's home kitchen where she will teach you 2-3 traditional Italian dishes from family recipes - a pasta, sauce and a side or dessert. After cooking, enjoy your meal together with your host, a warm and gentle retired history and philosophy teacher who lives in an apartment in a large villa with her daughters. Giovanna loves cooking particularly enjoys introducing guests to traditional Bolognese culture and cuisine.
