The tour starts with a view across Jerusalem from Mount of Olives. We descend the mount passing Jerusalem’s oldest Jewish cemetery dating back 3,000 years. We walk through the Kidron Valley where there are Jewish tombs dating back to the 1st century AD and enter the Old City via the Dung Gate. We continue to Temple Mount, a sacred site once home to the ancient Jewish Temple and today home to the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque. At times entrance to Temple Mount is limited by the authorities and under those circumstances we will visit the Tower of David instead. Next we visit the Davidson Center, an archaeological park adjacent to Temple Mount with excavated First and Second Temple Period structures. A memorial held by a group of DJs in Nov 2023 included DJ Asher Swissa, said, “It’s a massacre of music, of freedom, of something much bigger than us.” The site developed to a memorial, with photos of the faces of those killed & hostages still held by Hamas displayed on wooden posts. Mangled beach chairs & broken coolers remain as reminders. 200 trees have been planted in the parking lot area, symbolizing new life & hope.

We will start the day at Mt. Bental, observing Syria from a "sleeping" volcano. Then continue towards Katsrin Talmudic village - a village made from volcanic rock in the center of the Golan. we will also visit its magnificent reconstructed synagogue. From there we will head to Safed, to explore spirituality in the Jewish mysticism and Kabbalah's birthplace. We will not leave Safed before visiting its magnificent synagogues. We will end the day at Rosh Pina, a small city that was founded in the later half of the 19th century by Baron Rothschid. We will exploring it beautiful buildings and scenery, its rich history and some interesting art galleries.
