It’s time to jump in a super jeep, strap on your crampons and step onto the mighty Myrdalsjokull glacier. Mother Nature has really outdone herself with this one, the movie-like surroundings and glaciers are everywhere you look. Grandiose ice walls tower over you as you walk among them to enter the magical blue and black ice dome of the outlet glacier named after the powerful volcano Katla. Prepare to have your breath taken away! We will come to a stop near the roots of Kötlujökull glacier and the view that greets us is otherworldly. We will take on our crampons and helmets, and take a short walk to the opening of the ice cave. We might need to climb a few steps on ladders to the entrance of the cave. As the natural ice cave is in constant change, conditions can be different on each tour. The climb is, however, not difficult at all, and anyone in an average physical condition should be able to climb these steps. It might look adventurous but it is not demanding at all!

A zipline ride is a great adventure for all those who love the thrill of doing something challenging but at the same time very safe. The tour starts with a mere 3-minute car ride to the starting point which overlooks one of Iceland's major glacier, Mýrdalsjökull. From there it's a mix of moderate hiking in breathtaking Icelandic landscape through a river canyon named Grafargil. We walk on uneven ground and the ziplines that we've placed on unique places above waterfalls and rivers. We have two ziplines, 240 meters and 140 meters long and in between we have a little adventures, one which we've named The Leap of Faith. In the end, we normally have a very enjoyable walk back to the starting point by the old highway nr.1 While you are whizzing down the ziplines don't forget to look around and below you, because the scenery around you is incredibly beautiful and you will have the birds-eye view of it.

If you go to Iceland you have to try out ice climbing on a glacier. All of our guides are local, professional mountain guides. We try to find three different areas climb on. We start with an easy ice wall to teach you basic skills to ice climb. Our guides tailor the climbs to suit you. You don’t have to know anything about climbing or be super fit to do this tour, this is a introduction tour so you don’t have to be afraid to try this out. What is Ice climbing? ice climbing is a sport/ activity that let you climb vertical ice walls and explore places you never thought existed. Our guides will also show you the wonders of the glacier, such as crevasses and moulins. What is a crevasse and moulins? crevasse is a crack on the glacier that is created by movement of the glacier. Moulins are water tunnel that goes vertical in to the glacier. This is perfect tour to see the glacier and try out some ice climbing with a local guide.

Included in the tour is a personal guide, and all the gear that you will need for your buggy adventure. The tour has six departure times available on a single day and has a very low guests to guide ratio of 4:1. Prepare for the adventure of a lifetime when choosing this two-day tour of Iceland’s South Coast. The day’s stops are Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Gljufrabui Waterfall, Skogafoss Waterfall, and Reynisfjara black sand beach. Your hotel will be somewhere between the towns of Vik and Hofn, and your guide will tell you the Northern Light Forecast for viewing from the hotel. The second day begins with an Ice Cave, followed by Jokulsarlon and Diamond Beach, and additional stops at Eldhraun Lava Fields, and the Bridge of the Volcanoes. These stops may change based on time permitting and weather conditions. On our way back to Reykjavik we may stop in Vik if time permits. The minimum age for participants is eight years. Be sure to pack warm clothing and comfortable shoes to enjoy every aspect of this experience. Dinner can be late for some advise bringing snacks to prevent hungry spells. Please note that December is very busy on the South Coast, and this tour fills up quickly.
