I recommend you to look at the Parliament Building from outside, houses in classical and Art Nouveau style and the St.Stepen's Cathedral in the Innercity. The old underground will take us to the Heroe’s Square and the Vajdahunyad Castle. We can look around in the Jewish district, too. It is worth going to the Buda side, an escalator or a public bus will take us to the Castle District where we are going to see the former Royal Palace, the old Baroque houses with gothic elements, the famous Matthias Church and the picturesque view from the Fishermen’s Bastion.

We will travel to the the Children’s Railway on the scenic, hillside cogwheel railway. At the station we’ll visit an exhibition about the history of the railway and see how children take all the responsibility for running the service.
Having bought the tickets (your children can buy them if they like) we’ll go on a joy ride on the open-sided (in summer) train running through the woods of this national park, and you can see how the children run the system.
We will get off at the fourth stop and take a short walk through the woods to the Erzsébet Lookout Tower on János Hill to have a unsurpassed views of the whole city.
After an ice-cream break we’ll come back down to the city on the panoramic two-seater chairlift, another popular attraction for locals and visitors alike.
Why visit Szentendre? The essence of Budapest's Soho is just about 40 minute drive from the busy city center. Szentendre - literally Saint Andrews - is a small town on the Danube's bank. Best known for its Mediterranean vibes and Serbian history, Szentendre also offers Baroque architecture, memories from the Roman period, Hungarian folklore stores, and lots of art, both old and modern. Enjoy a break from big-city life, you can spend an adventure-filled half a day here! Although you must cross the international borders, on the way there is no passport or customs control while crossing the three countries. You can tell the driver to stop for a rest whenever you want.
