As Kutaisi is far from Tbilisi, 3 hours driving one way, it may be better for you to stay overnight in Kutaisi and have more time for discovering natural undeground caves and historical and architectural monuments of Kutaisi. You can see the stalactites and stalagmites in Sataplia and Prometheus caves, dinosaurs foot prints, walk in the forest reserve. In Kutaisi you can visit historical sightseeing of Kutaisi, Gelati Cathedral, Motsameta monastery, Bagrati temple. Tour starts from Tbilisi (or from Kutaisi).
