We will continue our journey to immerse ourselves in the culture of Ancient Egypt, where we will learn all the details of the Egyptian funeral rites in different periods, as well as the imposing sculptures representing their gods, pharaohs and prominent figures. Our journey to the past continues to the East, specifically to the Assyrian civilisation, which occupied the north of ancient Mesopotamia and of which we can currently find numerous pieces in the British Museum, such as the Lamassus that protected the gates of the cities or palaces of this empire. The Greeks are another of the cultures that have left a great historical legacy. Continuing our visit, we will find an important part of the structure of the Parthenon of Athens. In this room we will delve into Greek mythology, while exploring the sculptural representations that were designed for each of the parts of which this marble temple dedicated to the goddess Athena was composed.
