I have spent lots of time in Port Isaac, including listening to the Fisherman's Friends singing sea shanties with a beer in hand. I will take you on a walking tour of the village, including the locations used in filming both "Doc Martin" and the Fisherman's Friends movies. See Doc Martin's surgery, Mrs. Tishall's pharmacy, Louisa's school and cottage, Bert's restaurant, and all the other key locations. Visit the village pub used in both shows - maybe even stop for lunch? Stand on the Platt where the shanties are sung. We also visit the tiny coves at Port Quin and Port Gaverne, which also feature as filming locations. The tour can be extended to a full day on request to include visits to places such as Tintagel, Boscastle or Bodmin Moor. There would be an additional charge to extend - please feel free to ask us about this.

Our team of qualified and experienced instructors will guide you along the intertidal zone of our stunning coastline. Swim through huge sea caves, explore wildlife-rich rock pools, visit hidden and inaccessible beaches before taking the leap of faith from one of the many jump sites. Our coasteering sessions run from a beautiful and unique venue in North Cornwall. The location offers a range of opportunities, explorations and experiences in a spectacular costal setting. The sessions are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of each group with all safety equipment being provided. You must be over 10 years old and able to swim 50 meters unaided in order to take part. All under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We can skip bits you don't wish to see and Glenys can take you back to your base whenever you like. Is there something you particularly want to see that's not on the tour? No Problem, we can add it in. The tours are private, you won't have to share Glenys with anyone and you can go at your own pace. There's plenty of time for souvenir and ice cream shopping! Stand Up Paddleboarding (or SUP as it is widely know) in Bude is a fantastic and fast growing sport to hit the water in the UK. The large surfboard style paddleboard creates a stable platform for you to stand on and the extra long canoe paddle makes it easy for you to motor around in only a few minutes. Stand Up Paddleboarding is less challenging than surfing which makes it an even more accessible for your family, friends and great as a large group activity.

Whether you are surfing for the first time or looking to improve your technique, a surfing lesson at Widemouth Bay in Bude with an experienced instructor, is a great way to give you the skills and confidence you could be looking for! By far the best way to start surfing or to improve your ability is to get instruction from skilled and experienced coaches. It is amazing how simple it is to get riding waves when provided with appropriate instruction, practical knowledge and the right equipment. When you’re up on that surfboard riding your first wave, it will be one of the most exhilarating experiences you’ll ever have! Whether you’re an absolute beginner and want to try surfing for the first time, or you’ve surfed before and want to improve your skills and technique, our friendly instructors will get you surfing with confidence. Our lessons are held in small groups that allow for more personal attention. All equipment is included and the sessions are around 2 hours in length.

Take a leisurely 2 hour trip with Glenys, a beautifully restored vintage English Taxi, through the breath-taking North Cornish countryside and view the spectacular coastline. Let us worry about the driving whilst you soak up the spectacular scenery as we amble along narrow lanes and through tiny hamlets along the North Cornish coast. Eventually we turn away from the coast and head toward Bodmin Moor. We explore this awesome landscape for a while before stopping in a hidden glade. Here the only sounds are the gurgling of the river, the breeze in the trees and the boiling of the kettle. Freshly made and served in bone China, you can choose from a range of teas supplied by the award winning Westcountry Tea Co, or coffee if you prefer. Fresh Cornish splits and scones are served with butter, a choice of home made preserves and clotted cream. Also on offer is traditional saffron cake and other fresh baked cakes. This is a sustainable full day tour, using public transport wherever possible, to visit several locations from the Beyond Paradise TV show. The settings vary from breathtaking countryside and grand stately homes to delightful waterside villages, towns and city. Group size is small so you have the services of the guide readily on hand. WHY CHOOSE US FOR SURF LESSONS? Well that's a good question! We have been in the business of teaching people to surf for over 20 years and were one of the first surf schools in Newquay to do so. We have always been affiliated with Surfing GB who have trained and qualified all of our instructors, they have recently achieved national governing body status which is awesome Our surf coaches live and breath surfing and have surfed and taught all over the world, if they are not in the sea teaching they will be in the sea surfing for fun. In addition to this our staff are extremely passionate, patient, welcoming, friendly and always stoked!

We are the longest-running surf school in Widemouth Bay, and we pride ourselves on our safety standards. Throughout our fun-filled sessions, you'll be supplied with the tuition and knowledge from our experienced Surf coaches, to help you progress to your best abilities. Widemouth Bay itself is also a beautiful, blue-flag beach, with a large car park, and a great cafe. This beach is also lifeguarded within the year by the RNLI. The sandy beach also allows great conditions for beginners to learn, along with some more challenging peaks for intermediates to practice further.

With the use of a motor glider, we can use the engine to take off and motor us to see some of the amazing views Cornwall has to offer. We can then shut down the engine and become a glider, showing you how we don't need an engine to fly, and hopefully even finding some naturally occurring rising air to prolong our flight. Your instructor will show you how the controls work, before letting you have a go for yourself. You'll be a Pilot!
