The coastline of Kvarner Bay is peppered with beautiful towns and historic locations. On this tour, you'll visit two of its most eye-catching spots – the hilltop fort of Mošćenice and the cosmopolitan seaside resort of Opatija.
First up is Mošćenice. There's free time to explore the narrow, cobbled streets and medieval architecture. Admire wow-factor panoramas over the Istria peninsula and the Adriatic Sea, or visit the impressive hilltop fortress overlooking the Kvarner Gulf.
Next up is the elegant 19th century Adriatic resort of Opatija. Known for its pastel-coloured villas and botanical gardens, it was the place to be seen in the Austro-Hungarian Empire's golden age. Stroll along the Lungomare, just as many kings and emperors did in the olden days.
Round-trip transportation from your accommodation in Pula, Rovinj, Poreč, Novigrad or Umag is included. This tour operates in a group of up to 50 participants.

Journey inland through the scenic Croatian hills, arriving at the heavily forested Plitvice Lakes National Park – almost on the border with Bosnia-Herzegovina. Admire how the park's 16 crystalline lakes seem to almost tumble into each other across the landscape.
Follow the 18km of wooden bridges and pathways around the lakes learning all about the local flora and fauna from your knowledgeable guide, and often being escorted by hosts of beautiful butterflies. Explore the lakes by foot, and also take a pleasant boat journey across Kozjak, the park's largest lake. Without doubt, one of the highlights of the excursion is a trip to the magnificent 78-metre-high Veliki Slap waterfall – the tallest in Croatia.

In particular, the 6th century Euphrasian Basilica is a perfect example of that, as it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. You should visit Poreč while in Istria, Croatia.
