Located in the province of Guanacaste. The geological significance of Barra Honda, is the existence of underground caverns that have required about 60 million years to form, consisting of coral sand. We walk a distance of about 2 miles round trip on the tropical dry forest lasting approximately 2 hours. We descent downstairs latter around 17 meters with arness equipment hold in a safety line.
