If you have a limited time in Sydney and wanted to experience native Australian animals and see the rich indigenous rock arts from Guringai People, this half-day tour is for you. Pickup from your hotel in Sydney or terminal can be either after breakfast (7.30 am), however, time is flexible. Then the tour will head north out of the city crossing Harbour bridge in a modern minivan and offer unlimited bottled water thought out the tour. You will get the experience of native Kangaroos at the Australian Walkabout Wildlife Park. This is the only wildlife sanctuary in New South Wales. Following the Walkabout park, the tour then goes to Bulgandry Art Site that portrays the rich in the ancient Aboriginal rock art of the Guringai people. Sydney parrots are amazing. Whilst our iconic kangaroos, koalas and wombats are iconic, there’s more to Australia than our amazing mammals. Did you know that one sixth of the word’s parrots call Australia home? 56 species of the 300 or so species of parrot are found in Australia, and only 5 of these are found elsewhere in the world. More than a dozen of these are found in Sydney and many are found throughout Sydney suburbs. On this tour, we will search for Sydney parrots in at least 3 different locations around Sydney. During the day we may see many of our colourful parrots that include king parrots, cockatoos, lorikeets, corellas, rosellas and galahs. On some days we may only find a few of these species, on others we will find ten or so. Often, we may also see other birds including pelicans, ibis, brush turkeys, kookaburras and magpies.

Meet your Tour guide at the meeting point to begin an afternoon and evening of wildlife spotting in the wild. Depart Sydney for the 90 minute drive south to the picturesque town of Bowral. En route, learn about the animals we are likely to find, some we might spot, and how we will record any sightings. On arrival, enjoy a light lunch before learning about local wildlife conservation projects, monitoring programs, and the signs to look for when tracking our more elusive wildlife. The rest of the afternoon will be spent spotting wildlife at several locations. The area hosts an abundance of birds - from the universally-loved kookaburra to a host of colourful parrots, including Crimson Rosella, Eastern Rosella, Galah, Yellow-tailed and Glossy black cockatoo, and even emu - as well as some of our most iconic animals, such as echidna.
