Our day trip Hunter Valley Vineyards Tour departs from Sydney in the morning and returns to Sydney early evening. This bespoke tour ensures the finer details including your choice of wineries, preferred grape varieties and a lunch restaurant will be chosen to match your tastes. The Hunter Valley is Australia's oldest wine making region that is located just over 2 hours drive from Sydney. With over 150 wineries and a range of grape types including Chardonnay, Semillion, Verdelho, Shiraz and Merlot, there is an abundance of wine loving varieties to sample and enjoy. We'll choose up to 4 vineyards to visit with a cheese or chocolate tasting option. Optional visit to Wollombi: a small historical town almost lost in time. together we'll discover its quaint modern day reality while learning about its' interesting past. This day out is reserved for your group only (private tour) and starts with Sydney's breathtaking harbour, followed by our finest northern beaches, and completed with a visit to the Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. We will see both Middle Harbour and Port Jackson when we visit Balmoral Beach, George's Heights and North Head lookout. Next is a short walk from Manly Beach to Shelley Beach via the Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve. From here we head to Palm Beach for a picnic lunch prepared by your guide. Recharged we walk to Barrenjoey Lighthouse and then take a spectacular coastal drive from Palm Beach to Avalon Beach. Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park is our final destination where we will see the Australian bush, aboriginal engravings and one of the best views in Sydney! There is a choice of either catching a ferry back to the city or being driven to your accommodation at the end of the day. We will cover a lot of ground so be ready to enjoy some exceptional places and scenery.
