After meeting, we will start our walking tour at the main square "Liria”. At the beginning of the tour, you will come across some fine specimens of the city's architecture dating back to the 1930's. Visit the Roman Amphitheatre from the 2nd century AD. Built during the reign of Emperor Trajan, this is one of the biggest amphitheaters in the Balkans. Walk down the seaside promenade enjoying the fresh air and the view of the largest bay in Albania. The Byzantine Chapel is our next stop. An early Christian chapel built on the side of the Amphitheatre, the chapel's western alcove preserves a unique polychromatic mosaic representing old, Christian iconography. Since then, the city is called Ohrid. Modern Ohrid is the heir of the ancient Lychnidos. According to the data, the city was first mentioned 2,400 years before the new era. Lihnidos was on the Via Egnatia road, the oldest and most significant Roman traffic route in the Balkans.

Durres city lies on the Adriatic coast and is main commercial port of Albania. Durres, Albania's second largest city was known formerly as Durrahium and is one of the oldest towns in the country. It will be a tour of approximately 10 hours including the driving times. We'll first get to Apollonia to visit the ruins and the beautiful Monastery with the elegant archaeological museum next to it. Then we'll head to Berat.
